Hardware Requirements

In order to get the best tuition experience, it is important that students are set up with the correct equipment.
Shortly after sign up, we will contact you via video call to support with signing in to sessions and how to set up your hardware if needed.
If you would like any advice on which hardware to purchase, we can provide suggested brands/models, and have a number of graphics tablets available for loan.

  • Graphics Tablet

    This allows our students to interact with the tutor and group, working out Maths questions on the online whiteboard.

    We can recommend various inexpensive models, as well as having some available to rent for a small fee.

  • Laptop / Desktop Computer

    In order to get the best experience in the sessions, it is important that students have access to a laptop or desktop computer.

    Chromebooks work equally well and are a competitively priced option.

  • Headphones, Microphone & Webcam

    ​To be able to effectively communicate with both the tutor and the rest of the group, students will need headphones and a webcam... it's always good to be able to see who you are talking to!

    Most laptops and desktops have a microphone and webcam, so it is likely that these would not necessarily need to be purchased.
